As we head into the sales season every yearling buyer thinks they know what they are looking for, but do they? This new Breednet innovation seeks to shed light on what the best progeny of a sire looked like as yearlings so we can maybe learn a lesson going forward, this time we look at So You Think, who has just finished covering his biggest ever book of mares.
A champion racehorse and very successful sire, So You Think is a stallion that more and more breeders and buyers are warming to as they really get a handle on just what this son of High Chaparral can do.
From our data base of images we have put together a selection So You Think stakes-winners pictured as yearlings that offer some real insight into his offspring although of his six Group I winners, just one has a yearling image.
So You Think is one stallion that stamps his stock unmistakably and it’s rare to see one that doesn’t have something of their father in them, whether that’s the long legs and scope or the majestic head.
He’s had Derby, Oaks and Guineas winners, but it’s a mistake to see his stock as just stayers as many have a great turn of foot and trained to run shorter distances are very effective as we saw last spring with Peltzer and previously with Nakeeta Jane and Fasika.
So You Think has covered 200 plus books of mares in his past three seasons so expect to see a lot more of them in sales and on the track over the next few years.
Below are all the So You Think Magic Millions yearlings with images currently uploaded, which ones are the stakes-winners of the future?
