Nicks that Click – Karaka 2021 – Savabeel Again!

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Monday January 4

Champion sire Savabeel has an exceptional draft of yearlings for Karaka Book 1 and his new Group III winner on New Year’s Day, Savy Yong Blonk, put the spotlight another of his most successful nicks that features prominently in this year’s catalogue.

Savy Yong Blonk won the Group III City of Auckland Cup (2400m) to become the 14th stakes-winner for Savabeel bred from a daughter of Waikato Stud’s former champion sire Pins.

The nick has produced 72 winners from 106 starters and the stakes-winner to runner strike rate of 13.2%  is better than Savabeel’s overall stakes-winner to runner strike rate of 10.9%.

Those stakes-winners include Group I winners Probabeel, Savvy Coup and Brambles, so it’s not hard to see why investors will look closely at his Karaka yearlings bred this way.

The following lots at Karaka 2021 are bred on the Savabeel x Pins nick.
