'Tubba' Rejoins Newgate Farm Team

Media Release - Thursday December 10

Highly experienced and respected bloodstock figure, Tony ‘Tubba’ Williams will rejoin Newgate, as Director of Stallions from 1 January 2021.

Tony Williams will rejoin the team at Newgate Farm.

“Tubba was instrumental in getting Newgate off the ground as a start-up operation, and I couldn’t be happier that he is rejoining us to head up our stallion operation. Tubba brings with him a wealth of knowledge and has a wonderful rapport with people in the industry. He has taught me so much over the years and Newgate would not be what it is today without him. The Newgate Owners, SF Bloodstock, Matthew Sandblom and myself are thrilled to have him back with us in such a pivotal role in our business,” said Newgate Managing Director Henry Field.

“I’m looking forward to rejoining Newgate,” said Tubba Williams. “Henry and the Newgate team are dynamic.  I was fortunate to work with Newgate in its infancy for five years and in my five year absence, Newgate has developed into one of the most progressive farms in the Southern Hemisphere if not the world.  I can’t wait to be back in the fold working with wonderful people and horses.”

Williams will replace Bruce Slade in the role of Director of Stallions. Bruce will remain a key member of the Newgate team in a Bloodstock and Sales consultancy role.

Tubba Williams can be contacted on his mobile 0428 932 663 or by email; Tony@newgate.com.au
