The superstar son of Lonhro provided the day's two highest priced offerings with a superb colt from Skates selling for $1.5 million and an equally lovely filly from Monsoon Wedding fetching $1.4 million.
Consigned for sale by Segenhoe Thoroughbreds on behalf of John Camilleri's Fairway Thoroughbreds, the colt from Skates was bought by Coolmore and is a half-brother to Golden Slipper winner Vancouver and also Group I winner Juste Momente.
The Monsoon Wedding filly was consigned by Coolmore, who bought her dam at the Teeley Assets Dispersal in 2014 for $2.3 million and was bought by James Harron Bloodstock / De Burgh Equine on behalf of John Sikura of Hill 'N Dale Farm in Kentucky.
