Luskin Park Celebrate Another Winner

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 2
Promising Northern Meteor filly Meteora Miss found the task beyond her in the Group II ATC Tea Rose Stakes at the start of spring, but showed her true ability with a powerful win at Canterbury on Wednesday.

The Anthony Cummings trained filly was having her first run since the Tea Rose and showed the benefit of a break and a drop in grade to charge home and win the 1200 metre maiden by a short neck at her fourth start.

Meteora Miss as a yearlingA $300,000 Inglis Easter purchase for her trainer from the Luskin Park draft, Meteora Miss runs for a syndicate that includes her co-breeder Luskin Park.

She is a half-sister to stakes-placed Dual Star and is the second foal of Dual Diamond, a half-sister by Redoute's Choice to stakes-winner Villain from Blue Diamond winner True Jewels.

Dual Diamond has no yearling for the sales next year, but produced a filly by Sepoy this spring.

Meteora Miss came out of the same Inglis Easter draft that produced Group III winner Metallic Crown and is another good result for Paul Whelan's Luskin Park, who co-bred and sold Saturday's classy stakes-winner Dublin Lass.

Luskin Park are headed to the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale in January with a pair of Snitzel yearlings, a colt and a filly. Click here to see the pedigrees.
