HEAT 10 – 51.20 seconds – Vinery Stud's Star Turn became the third first season sire to post a winner at this set of trials with the Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt Astrologer forging clear to win by a length with $1.4million I Am Invincible colt Montenegro an eye-catching third.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Edinglassie Stud draft, Astrologer is  a half-brother to one winner from Fast ‘n’ Witty, a half-sister by Fastnet Rock to Group III winner Crystal Dreamer from the family of Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.

 

HEAT 9 – 50.42 seconds – Third winner of the day for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott with Exceed and Excel filly Excela Bella showing abundant natural pace to race forward and keep going to win.

A $250,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainers from the Rosemont Stud draft, Excela Bella is closely related to Exceed and Excel’s brilliant Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner Earthquake. She is from Caravelli, an unraced half-sister by Viscount to Group II winner El Cambio, stakes-winner Complicate and stakes-placed Cataclysm, who is the dam of Earthquake.
 

 

HEAT 8 – 51.08 seconds- Godolphin got a result in this heat with Medaglia D’Oro (USA)colt Retrieval, who is a full brother to Group III winner Multaja and stakes-winner Veranillo, who was second in a Silver Slipper.

The James Cummings trained Retrieval was held up for a run, but when angled into clear ground showed a good change of gear and should have no trouble emulating the success of his siblings.

HEAT 7 – 50.11 seconds – Another winner for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott and this one a very typical I Am Invincible filly, Total Babe proving just that, doing everything right to win as she pleased.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainers from the Mill Park draft, Total Babe is the second foal of Group I winning Kiwi sprinter In Style.
 

HEAT 6 – 50.65 seconds – Head bobbing finishing here with the Bjorn Baker trained colt Maurice’s Medad claiming a slight margin over Godolphin’s Exceed and Excel colt Athelric.

By Arrowfield Stud’s first season sire Maurice (Jpn), Maurice’s Medad was second in a trial at Randwick on September 8, so had an experience edge over his rivals.

A $250,000 Magic Millions purchase for Bjorn Baker Racing/Clarke Bloodstock from the Vinery Stud draft, Maurice’s Medad is a half-brother to two winners from Presslist, a half-sister to Group I winners Press Statement and Pressday.

ong>HEAT 5– 50.00 seconds – A homebred for Emirates Park, Written Tycoon filly Enthaar made a big impression dominating her heat and winning in faster time than Libertini did when winning the open heat for Group and Listed horses run prior to the juvenile trials.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Enthaar is a half-sister to metro winner Texas Forever and is the second foal of winning Not a Single Doubt mare Final Agreement, a full sister to Group I winner Secret Agenda.

Emirates Park bought Final Agreement for $400,000 from the 2016 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale and she has a colt to follow by I Am Invincible and is back in foal to the champion sire.
 

HEAT 4 -  50.59 seconds – The Chris Waller stable produced the winner here with Snitzel colt River Snitty showing good racecraft and ability to win by half a length over fast finishing I Am Invincible colt Construct, who surged home from last in China Horse Club colours.

A $350, 000 Magic Millions purchase for Mulcaster Bloodstock from the Baramul Stud draft, River Snitty is a half-brother to two winners including smart metro winner Maddi Rocks and his dam is a half-sister to Cox Plate winner and champion sire Savabeel.

 


 

HEAT 3 – 50.52 seconds – Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott took the second heat with stylish bay Not a Single Doubt filly Vaccine, who hit the line hard between runners to win by half a length over her stablemate Miss Hoff, a daughter of first season sire Flying Artie.

A $220,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainers from the Highgrove Stud draft, Vaccine is a sibling to three winners from stakes-winning US bred juvenile A Brilliant Idea (USA).


 

HEAT 2 - 50.53 seconds  – First two year-old trial of the day and a perfect start for Golden Slipper winner Capitalist with handsome black colt Kalashnikov scoring an impressive win in the JHB colours that were carried by his sire. Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, he jumped fast and led all the way winning in style.

A $600,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe draft for James Harron Bloodstock, Kalashnikov is the second foal of Rough Ride, a half-sister by Flying Spur to Group I winner Eagle Way.
