Lucrative Beans Bonus to Raheen

Media Release - Wednesday September 2

With sensational first crop results under his belt, achieving 13 individual winners and being one of only two first crop sires to have progeny earnings in excess of $1million, Spill The Beans’ progeny continue to justify the faith held in him as a stallion from day one.

Leading the way for Spill The Beans in his first crop was the Stuart Kendrick-trained Cosmic Gossip, who earlier in the season became the first eligible runner by her sire to be rewarded a bonus of $25,000 for becoming his first metropolitan winner.

Graciously accepted by her breeder, Raheen Stud’s Basil Nolan, the very same talented filly ended the season as the leading, bonus eligible, prizemoney earner for her sire, and duly was award a substantial bonus of a further $100,000.

“Raheen Stud was fortunate enough to be rewarded with two separate Aquis Breeder’s Bonuses totalling $125,000 throughout the season due to the success of Cosmic Gossip, a daughter of Spill The Beans we bred,” enthused Nolan.

Supporting those who support Aquis is one of the key fundamentals in building strong, and rewarding relationships within the industry, and the Breeders’ Bonus is an exciting way to give to those, the breeders, who are sometimes forgotten come race day.

“It’s fantastic to see an organisation like Aquis highlight the importance of breeders within the industry and show their appreciation for their efforts. I could not speak more highly of what they’re doing for the Queensland industry.”
