Farnan Stars at Randwick Trials

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 25

Golden Slipper winner Farnan was the star attraction at the Randwick barrier trials on Tuesday morning.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained son of Not a Single Doubt led all the way for Hugh Bowman and opened up to win by nearly four lengths over his Group I winning stablemate Shout the Bar.

Farnan is now racing in the colkours of his new co-owner Kia Ora Stud and expected to resume in the Group II ATC The Run To The Rose (1200m) at Rosehill on September 12.

"That is the colt we always hoped to see and the colt that we know," Adrian Bott told Sky Racing

"He is a true professional and was given a bit more of a test this morning in his second trial.

"It was great to see the improvement and the way he responded when Hugh asked for an effort.

"He has come along nicely and should improve further again off today so looking forward to getting him back to the races."

Golden Slipper winner Farnan is primed for spring!
