Aussie Group One Juvenile Winner in South Africa

Tara Madgwick - Sunday May 24
Vinery Stud's Champion Sire More Than Ready (USA) posted yet another juvenile Group I winner when exciting filly Entisaar captured the Group I Allan Robertson Championship at Scottsville in South Africa on Saturday.

Entisaar - courtesy SAHRacingThe Mike de Kock trained filly is yet another Aussie bred start to carry the blue and white colours of Sheikh Hamdan and proved too good for the best juvenile fillies in the country in forging clear to win the 1200 metre dash by a length.

Entisaar has won three of four starts with the promise of more to come.

Shadwell have been big buyers at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in recent years and Entisaar is another of their successful purchases, snapped up for $300,000 from the draft of Vinery Stud.

Bred by Echo Beach Bloodstock and Brian Singer, Entisaar was foaled and raised at Vinery and is the first foal of Group III placed Catbird mare Purrpurrlena, a daughter of stakes-winner Magdalena and sibling to Group placed Tetusko and Star Cat.

Entisaar as a yearling

Purrpurrlena has another More Than Ready yearling filly to follow, then a Congrats (USA) colt and was covered last year by All Too Hard.

Entisaar is the 16th Group I winner for More Than Ready, who stands at Vinery this spring at a fee of $66,000.
