Victorian trainers lead the way with Ciaron Maher and David Eustace having the most entries with 108 and Lindsay Park in second with 80.
Team Hawkes have 77 entries including Zoustar colt Dio, the brother to champion mare Sunlight that made $1.1million at Inglis Easter, also a full brother to their Golden Slipper winner Estijaab,a full brother to Golden Slipper winner Overreach and the Exceed and Excel colt from Group I winner Platelet that made $1.8million at Magic Millions and has been called Plagiarized.
Godolphin have 70 entries including the half-brother by Street Boss (USA) to Golden Slipper winner Pierro called Backstreets, a full brother to Group I colt Astern called Amegdul and Medaglia’ D’Oro youngsters from Group I winners Guelph filly called Franshoek) and Forensics (filly called Victims).
Yulong Investments have 23 entries including the full sister to last seasons’ dual Group I winning 2YO King’s Legacy that they purchased for $425,000 at Inglis Easter.
Peter Moody is back in the game with 16 entries including an interesting one on pedigree, a Not a Single Doubt filly from Black Caviar’s sister Naturale called Gimme Par. She is a half-sister to stakes-winning colt Ole Kirk.
Coolmore have made 26 entries including the Snitzel colt from Group I winner First Seal that topped Inglis Easter when selling for $1.8 million.
High profile mares with offspring entered include Black Caviar (a filly by I Am Invincible), More Joyous (filly by Snitzel), Miss Finland (a colt by Shalaa) and the late Miracles Of Life’s final daughter, a filly by American Pharaoh (USA).
