Thoroughbred Sport Horse Jumping Classes Return

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 10

The TSHA were excited to be sponsoring classes again at the Equestrian Gold Coast Club Winter Show Jump Festival on Sunday 9th August.

Congratulations to all the riders and to the organising committee who did a super job. It was a very well-run show, the weather was spectacular and it was fantastic to see horses and riders out and about again having fun.

As well as the EGCC Winter Show Jumping Festival, there are TSHA classes confirmed for Gatton Show and Darling Downs Spring Showjumping Championships in Queensland and we are increasing our presence at QLD, SA and NSW shows as much as COVID restrictions presently allow in each state.

Below are all the winners and placegetters from last weeked with leading Queensland  showjumper Peter McMahon pictured aboard Merlin the Wizard, now competing as KS Wisdom. This combination featured in the original Jump Off series and it's great to see this horse progress from complete novice to a class winner!

Peter McMahon and KS Wisdom aka Merlin the Wizard.

Merlin the Wizard had 10 starts and placed three times with his last race in Janary 2018. He is Exceed and Excel's sire son by Exceedingly Good and comes from the family of ill-fated stakes-winner Blue Pill.
