Important Update to Hunter Stallion Parades

Media Release - Friday July 31

The majority of Stallion farms in the Hunter Valley have made the difficult decision to cancel their public parades which were scheduled for late August 2020.

This decision has been made due to the changing Covid-19 situation and regulations and the recent outbreaks in the Greater Sydney regions.

Breeders are still welcome to contact the individual studs directly, to make private appointments to view stallions and bloodstock. All visits to individual farms will be conducted in strict adherence to the government health and safety restrictions which are in place at the time.

This collaborative decision between the stallion farms has been made for the safety of breeders and stud staff.

In addition to private registrations to view stallions, some farms will present parades online, allowing breeders to view some of the best bloodstock from Australia and around the world, in their own time from the safety of their own homes.

A full list of all stallions standing in the Hunter Valley this season can be viewed on our website www.htba.com.au/links.

Nowhere else in the world is such a dazzling line-up of elite stallions available for inspection in one geographical region, the Hunter Valley is a true centre of Thoroughbred Breeding Excellence.
