Stakes winners Gem Song, Haunted and Plague Stone are among the star offerings in a select catalogue for the 2020 Magic Millions National Racehorse Sale.
To be held following Day Two of the National Yearling Sale on Tuesday, August 4, the National Racehorse Sale will offer prospective buyers with unique opportunities from Godolphin and the Estate of the late Eduardo Cojuangco.
The Godolphin draft of 11 is headlined by Haunted, a proven stakes winner who at his past three runs has been beaten by a combined margin of less than a length.
Haunted was less than a half length from winning at his most recent outing in the listed $200,000 Ramornie Handicap at Grafton when carrying a kilo more than the winner.
Joining Haunted in the Godolphin draft are international Group One performer Wren's Day, Moonee Valley winner Widespread and proven provincial winners Acumen, Flensburg, Jetski, Kateru and Whispered.
Godolphin have a reputation for selling future winners with big earners including Emphasis, Ghostly, Ligulate, Bandipur, Morton's Fork, Inquiry, Patria, Sabkhat and Lieder among previous Gold Coast sold lots.
The 18 lot draft in the Racehorse Sale as part of the Estate of the late Eduardo Cojuangco catalogue includes the $540,000 earner Gem Song.
A winner of the Eskimo Prince Stakes and Gunsynd Classic, both at Group Three level, Gem Song, like all lots from the Cojuangco catalogue will be offered unreserved.
Others in that draft include untapped juvenile Camerlengo (placed at both runs and three time trial winner) and lightly raced winners Intimidating, Mandirigma, Sole Heir, Awesome Lad, Battle Guardian.
Among the other entries outside of the Godolphin and Cojuangco drafts are Casurina Star (three time winner including the Gold Coast four runs ago), Palate (2nd at Gold Coast two runs back) and Hawaiian Gem (won two of its past three runs at Ipswich and the Gold Coast).
Supplementary lots for the National Racehorse Sale will close at noon on Friday, 31 July - contact the Magic Millions Bloodstock Department for further details.
