Premier Stars for Kia Ora

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday February 25
Boutique Hunter Valley nursery Kia Ora is selling at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale with six quality yearlings on offer with inspections well underway.

Kia Ora has long been a supporter of the Melbourne sale producing many top gallopers including South African champion Igugu - a four-time Group I winner – and more recently having two horses from last year's draft running in the Blue Diamond Prelude which was held on 14 February.

This year's draft (click here to see them all) includes some standouts, including Lot 347 (Stratum/Mambo In Freeport) a quality filly being a 3/4 sister to Elzaam (Redoute's Choice's first stakes winner in Europe).

The filly has had a recent pedigree update with her 3/4 sister Rajamani winning at Canterbury by 2.5 lengths on 20 February in good fashion.

Lot 619 (Choisir/Zalila) is a colt which should appeal being a full brother to this season's progressive filly Ainzali winner of three of her last four starts and trained by Keith Dryden in Canberra.

This colt is by top stallion Choisir from a full sister to the dam of recent top galloper in Trusting.

Lot 116 (Sebring/Darsini) is a full brother to the promising Peter Moody trained Ulmann and a 3/4 brother to the multiple stakes winner Mahisara (currently standing at Wattle Brae Stud QLD).

Added to this he is also a 3/4 brother to this year's stakes placed 2yo Braccenby also trained by Peter Moody.

Kia Ora's Melbourne Premier yearlings are located in stable H and we welcome all inspections. In addition our draft can be viewed on our website at www.kiaorastud.com
