Nearly a US G1 Winner for Lonhro

Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 12

Champion sire Lonhro very nearly had a Group I winner in the US last Friday when Parlor went down by a nose in the Group I Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland , the result of special significance as he has a close relation to be offered at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in foal to Lonhro.

Parlor was beaten a nose by last year’s Group I Preakness Stakes winner War of Will with another recent Group I winner Raging Bull in third place franking the form from this elite Black Type event.

Miss Red Delicious is also the dam of Lonhro’s US Group III winner Nookta Sound again highlighting the compatibility of this US family with Australia’s champion sire Lonhro.

Perfect Diamond is in foal to Lonhro in her first season at stud.
