Godolphin Draft a Highlight for Inglis Digital

Media Release - Monday June 1

Powerhouse racing and breeding operation Godolphin will offer an unreserved draft of 18 horses as part of the Inglis Digital June (Early) Online Auction.

In what is an exciting opportunity for buyers, the Godolphin consignment ranges from seasoned veterans to unraced 2YOs and a vast range of up-and-coming 3YOs.

Highlights of the draft include Saturday’s impressive Rosehill winner Esperance (Bernardini), regally bred The Driller (Sea The Stars x Shamal Wind) who was unlucky not to have made it two successive wins at Geelong last Friday, recent Kembla Grange winner Golwen (Lonhro), Randwick winner Secretively (Dawn Approach) and Flensburg (Reset), who broke his maiden at Ballarat on Sunday.

A winner at Rosehill on Saturday, Esperance is for sale.

In total 15 of the 18 are lightly raced 3YOs – four of which are fillies - by the likes of Exceed And Excel, Medaglia d’Oro, Shooting To Win, Reset, Animal Kingdom and Helmet etc.

The entire draft will be available for inspection by appointment only at Riverside Stables from 2pm Monday, June 8.

To book an inspection time, please contact Brett Gilding – brett.gilding@inglis.com.au or 0401 300 280.

Godolphin has provided the horse’s current status, disclosed any vices, height and weight when in training, any bonus schemes the gallopers are eligible for, a veterinary report and any recent gear changes.

Other successful Godolphin tried horses include Country Championships contenders Ligulate, Unbiased and Pelerin, as well as Big Blue, Ghostly, Catesby, Morton’s Fork, Dogmatic, Sedition, Handfast and Adirondack etc.

Godolphin’s Racing and Bloodstock Manager Jason Walsh said: “Inglis have invested significant time and resources into ensuring its online platform provides both vendor and buyer with a simple and transparent solution to purchasing and selling bloodstock and Godolphin is looking forward to participating for the first time.

“As always we will be providing full disclosure of relevant information pertaining to each individual horse, so prospective buyers can source racehorses from Godolphin with confidence. Please reach out to the Godolphin and Inglis teams and book an inspection time for the draft at Riverside or peruse the profiles online.’’

Inglis Digital’s Business Manager Nick Melmeth said: “We are humbled to be offering this outstanding draft on behalf of Godolphin on the Inglis Digital online platform.

“Godolphin is without peer when it comes to a major organisation offering tried horses and it has a proven record over a long period of time.

“This is a unique chance for buyers to get their hands on racing stock by some of Australia’s leading sires and from some of the country’s strongest families.

“As always there will be full and total disclosure on every aspect of every horse in this consignment, people can come here to Riverside to inspect them and decide which ones they want to take home with them.’’
