Australian Horse Of The Year Dissident looks to have a bright prospect in the Lindsay Park trained filly Aidensfield, who made it two wins in as many starts when scoring an ultra impressive victory at Sandown on Sunday.
Ridden by Daniel Stackhouse, Aidensfield carried 60kg in the 1200m fillies event and was far too good, coasting clear of her rivals to win by three and a half lengths.
Sporting the familiar brown with white epaulettes silks of the Henderson family, Aidensfield was purchased by Lindsay Park Racing/Andrew Williams Bloodstock for $125,000 out of the Newgate Farm consignment at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
She has already won close to $80,000 with the promise of a great deal more to come.
Foaled and raised at Newgate for her breeders, who include the Henderson family, she is the first winner for the stakes-placed Big Brown (USA) mare Muscovado who is a half-sister to the smart Exceed and Excel mare Sugar Babe winner of the Group III MRC McNeil Stakes.
Dissident has had a fee reduction this year and stands at Newgate at $11,000.
