Youngstar to be a Sale Star

Later this afternoon at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale, bloodstock investors will have the chance to bid on one of the best broodmare prospects to be offered at auction anywhere in the world this year in 2018 Group I Queensland Oaks winner Youngstar.

A $1million earner trained throughout her career by Chris Waller, Youngstar was a top class athlete that contested some of the best races in the country finishing sixth in the 2019 Melbourne Cup.

“She has been a fantastic athlete to train. She went from breaking her maiden to winning a G1 in a single preparation,” said Chris Waller

“As you know I try and take my horses through their grades, but when they have star quality like she possesses, it allows you to jump straight into Group company, where she thrived. There is domestic and international quality throughout her pedigree, so the combination of that with her performance on the track make her a very exciting broodmare prospect.”

Youngstar has the performance, but also the pedigree as she is a half-sister by champion sire High Chaparral (IRE) to this season’s Group I ATC Flight Stakes winner Funstar and also to the dam of this season’s Group I ATC All Aged Stakes winner Tofane.

She will be offered by Middlebrook Valley Lodge as agent as Lot 78.

Youngstar is something special!
