Grandview Stud Announce Fees

Media Release - Monday May 4

Grandview Stud stallions Whittington and Under The Louvre continue to provide breeders with exceptional value with their 2020 service fees announced today.

Current second season sire Whittington will stand for $5,500 including GST ($6,600 in 2019) while Under The Louvre, whose first crop are yearlings, will stand for $4,400 including GST ($5,500 in 2019).

Whittington stands at a fee of $5,500

Grandview Stud Owner Michael Grieve said he reduced the stallion fees for 2020 to provide breeders with greater value in the current economic conditions.

There has already been strong interest in both QTIS stallions thanks to the results of their progeny on the track and sales ring.

“There has been a tremendous run of winners by Whittington this year reinforcing his second position in the Queensland second season sire table and third position in the Queensland 3yo sire table,” said Grieve.

“For $5,500, he is exceptional value especially for Queensland breeders to chase the lucrative QTIS bonus prizemoney in races.

“Under The Louvre enters his fourth season at stud with his first crop producing good results in the sales ring and glowing endorsements from respected international bloodstock agents like John Foote.

“His first crop will be given some great opportunities to succeed at leading stables next season including Ciaron Maher, Chris Waller and Bryan and Daniel Guy, so his service fee of $4,400 could turn out to be an absolute bargain.”
