G1 Snitzel Mare Retired

The Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes (1200m) last Saturday marked the end of the road for quality sprinting mare I Am Excited with her co-owners and breeders Bell River Thoroughbreds announcing her subsequent retirement via Twitter.



The five year-old daughter of Snitzel has been in top form this season winning the Group I ATC Galaxy and bows out with over $1.2million in earnings.

A half-sister to Group III winner Flippant, she comes from the family of Group I winners Atlantic Jewel and Commanding Jewel so has an A grad pedigree to go with her Group I victory!
