Chatswood Stud Announce Fees

Media Release - Wednesday April 29

Chatswood Stud enters it's 49th year of operation in 2020 and dictated by market forces, we will be reducing our Service Fees.

For a tenth season, Reward For Effort will provide much needed reliability and consistency for Victorian breeders. Having sired 113 individual winners in the 2018/19 season, he looks on track to sire over 100 winners again this season.

The sire over $23 Million in progeny earnings will stand at his original fee of 11,000 inc GST.

Reward for Effort stands at $11,000

This announcement comes with Reward For Effort siring 19 winners in the month of April.

Inference - The $1 Million earning, Group 1 Winning son of So You Think has impressed breeders with his first foals, covering over 100 mares in his second season. Visiting Inference in 2020 means the sale of the resultant yearling will coincide with Inference's first 3YO runners.

Inference will stand for $6,600

Inference will stand at a fee of $6,600 inc GST.

"This will obviously be a challenging season for our industry. Chatswood has built a client base by standing stallions for 49 years and I hope these fee reductions help keep breeders motivated enough to keep doing what they love. Both Reward For Effort and Inference have never covered less than 100 mares per season and I am confident their value will ensure that remains the case in 2020". - Greg Willis.
