One to Watch – Ballarat

With seven winners in the past seven days and five stakes-winners this season, dual Cox Plate winning sire So You Think is in the best form of his life as a sire and added an impressive maiden winner to his tally at Ballarat on Wednesday.

So You Think is the sire of MagicallyThree year-old filly It’s Kind of Magic was sent off a well backed favourite in a competitive fillies maiden over 1400 metres and emerged an easy winner at her second start after finishing second on debut at the start of the month.

Prepared by Brent Stanley, It’s Kind of Magic surged forward to take up the lead and was never troubled in coasting home to win by three and a half lengths.

A modest $45,000 Magic Millions purchase for Slade Bloodstock from the Baramul Stud draft, It’s Kind of Magic was bred and sold by Gerry Harvey and is the sith winner from six  to race out of Danehill’s Group II winning daughter Magically.

Magically has foaled this spring producing a filly by Star Turn and also has a yearling colt by Shooting to Win.
