Million Dollar Highlights at Goffs Orby

The 2019 Goffs Orby Yearling Sale is underway in Ireland with three youngsters selling for in excess of $1million euros so far including a Galileo filly secured by Phoenix Thoroughbreds and Aquis Farm.

2.2 million euro filly by Galileo from AleagueoftheirownTop lot so far the full sister to Galileo's Group I winning filly Alice Springs bought by Georg von Opel's Westerberg for 2.2 million euros. Consigned by Glenvale Stud, she is from Danehill Dancer mare Aleagueoftheirown.

Phoenix Thoroughbreds, who won the Group III MVRC Scarborough Stakes in Australia last Friday with Loving Gaby, and Aquis Farm combined to purchase a Galileo filly from Devoted to You that made 1.1 million euros for Barronstown Stud. She is a full sister to Group I Irish Derby winner Sovereign.

Also fetching 1million euros was a Dark Angel filly from Beatrix Potter that made 1million euros when knocked down to Godolphin, who own her full brother Harry Angel. The champion sprinter is currently in Australia for Darley covering at Kelvinside this spring.
