Debut Win for Rich Enuff Sister

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday May 1
A full sister to former brilliant sprinter Rich Enuff, two year-old filly Write Enuff made a winning debut at Warrnambool on Tuesday when taking out the $70,000 Gold Strike.

Trained by Ken Keys as was her famous big brother, Write Enuff was sent out favourite and led all the way to win the 1000 metre dash by a length and a quarter.

Written Tycoon There was considerable pre-race interest in the daughter of Written Tycoon, who has big shoes to fill given her brother won the Group II VRC Danehill Stakes and was second in the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas.

"That was the pressure of today, she didn't know she was the sister to him," Keys said.

"There is another race at Flemington in a fortnight, but the spring is what it's all about with her.

"We'll just see how she goes. She has just kept developing. There's no doubt we could keep going but it's whether we need to."

Bred and retained to race by the Keys family, Write Enuff is also a half-sister to stakes-placed Lightenuff and is the fourth winner from Hotnuff, who comes from the family of stakes-winners Cafeteria and Elkalyn.

A half-sister to Rich Enuff and Write Enuff will be offered at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale as Lot 1044. Enuff Effort is an unraced daughter of Reward for Effort and is in foal to Fighting Sun.

The first son of Written Tycoon to go to stud, Rich Enuff stands at Woodside Park and already has weanlings. He stands at a fee of $12,100.
