Ef Troop was elevated to favouritism for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic following his demolition job at Doomben on Saturday but an un-raced member of the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable has also caused a market shake-up.
Latest betting on the 1200m dash at the Gold Coast next month has Ef Troop as short as $4.60 with some bookmakers after the Tony Gollan-trained colt won the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes (1110m) by more 5-1/4 lengths eased down.
But another significant mover has been the Waterhouse and Bott-trained Terminology, due to make his debut in Thursday's Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic (1100m).
Terminology was last seen winning a barrier trial by more than 10 lengths at Rosehill on December 9 and multiple agencies have reported large bets on the son of Star Witness, including $2,000 at $26 and $5,000 at $11.
A $300,000 MM purchase for his trainers from the Newhaven Park draft, Terminology is from winning Commands mare Taylor's Command, a half-sister to Group II winner So Pristine and to the dam of current star NZ three year-old filly Dijon Bleu.
A debut win would be a big boost for Terminology's yearling half-brother by Rubick who will be offered at Inglis Classic by Carramar Park as Lot 71.
The colt is currently on the third line of Magic Millions betting around $9 after opening at $26 while Peter and Paul Snowden's Bondi, another set to run at Wyong on Thursday, is the second favourite around $8. Also prominent in markets is Novocastrian galloper Jonker ($11) who is trained by David Atkins.
In other Magic Millions news,Gary Portelli's $15 chance Secret Lady is scheduled to trial against older horses in heat 10 at Warwick Farm on Tuesday morning.
