Shadwell
produced another Australian bred two year-old winner at Vaal in South Africa on
Thursday, but this daughter of champion sire Exceed and Excel was one they bred
themselves that was foaled and raised at Yarraman Park.
The Mike de Kock trained Mohallela was placed at the same venue earlier this
month and returned as favourite to score a half length win in the 1200 metre fillies maiden over Australian bed
filly Carmalita (Commands x Chickitty Chick).
Mohallela is the fifth winner from unraced Yaasah (IRE), a half-sister by Distant
View to stakes-winner Cherchouse , the
dam of US Group I winner Questing.
Yaasah died in 2015 and her last foal is a weanling colt by Dawn Approach
(IRE).
