Young
Darley sire Helmet already has a Group I winner in the Northern Hemisphere in
Kentucky Derby contender Thunder Snow and has another classy colt on the rise
in Italian based Anda Muchacho.
The talented colt kept his unbeaten record intact when posting his third successive
win in the Group III Premio Parioli (Italian 2,000 Guineas) at Cappanelle in
Rome over one mile.
It was his second stakes win and stamps Anda Muchacho as the best three
year-old colt in Italy.
Bred in Ireland, Anda Muchacho is one of four stakes-winners for Helmet and is
a half-brother to stakes-placed Parsley from the unraced Shamardal mare Montefino.
A triple Group I winning son of Exceed and Excel, Helmet has sired over 20 Australian
winners this season including Group III winners Limestone and Archives.
He is priced at $16,500 at Darley Victoria.
