Woodside
Park Stud have announced fees for 2017 with their flagship sire Written Tycoon
bumped up from $49,500 to $88,000.
Last season's Champion 2YO Sire, Written Tycoon goes from strength to strength
and covered 224 mares last year to be the busiest sire in Victoria and the
second busiest sire in all of Australia.
In the sale ring, Written Tycoon has been in hot demand.
His yearlings averaged more than $100,000 in 2016 off a modest service fee of
$13,750 and, this year, eight yearlings by Written Tycoon sold at the Gold
Coast Magic Millions for an average of $307,500, over 22 times service fee
while his yearlings sold for up to $500,000 at last month's Inglis Premier
Yearling Sale.
Zoustar returns to Woodside Park after a season at Widden Stud and remains at
$44,000, while Written Tycoon's brilliant son Rich Enuff stands at $13,750 following
his debut season at Glenlogan Park Stud in Queensland, which saw him cover 124
mares.
