A $1.75 million purchase for Shadwell from the Arrowfield Stud draft at Inglis Easter, Mustaaqeem is a full brother to Shadwell's South African Group II winner Rafeef, who was also bought from Inglis Easter for $800,000 in 2014.
Mustaaqeem is the third winner from South African Horse of the Year and Champion Sprinter National Colour (SAF), whose current yearling, a filly by Snitzel, will be offered by Arrowfield at Inglis Easter this year as Lot 256.
National Colour has a weanling colt to follow by Redoute's Choice and is now back in foal to him again.
Four year-old Encosta de Lago gelding Professor Brian scored his fourth win and third in succession at Kenilworth in South Africa on Saturday.
Trained by Joey Ramsden, Professor Brian scored by two and a quarter lengths over 1200 metres as favourite.
An $80,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Joey Ramsden/ Tawny Bloodstock from the Turangga Farm draft, Professor Brian is one of three winners from Group III placed Eskaw, who died in 2014.
