Juvenile Trial Watch – Women’s Intuition

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 21
Gai Waterhouse was without a Slipper runner last Saturday, but she and training partner Adrian Bott won three of the five juvenile heats at Randwick on Monday morning indicating there is still some unexposed talent in the locker.

Blonde Intuition as a yearlingRoyally bred Redoute's Choice filly Blonde Intuition was bought for $500,000 at the Magic Millions from the Element Hill draft by Gai and Julian Blaxland.

She runs for a big syndicate of women headed by Louise Gillard and showed enough in this trial to suggest she can be winning races.

Unplaced at her first trial in December, Blonde Intuition looked more mature this time around, jumping fast and travelling wide for Tim Clark before surging to the line under a hold to win her 745 metre heat in 44 seconds on a heavy 8.

Blonde Intuition is a full sister to stakes-winner Come Hither (dam of stakes-winner Cohesion) and half-sister to stakes-winner Fun in Flight being from stakes-placed Hanky Panky.

More importantly she is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to stakes-winner and leading sire Not a Single Doubt, who is by Redoute's Choice from her grand-dam Singles Bar.

There must be some expectation that Blonde Intuition has more to offer as Waterhouse purchased her half-brother by Sebring at Magic Millions this year for $170,000.

It's a fast family that has also give us the likes of Group I winners Snippets, Forensics and Rewaaya, so connections will be hoping for some Black type for this filly before the breeding barn looms.

Also winning for Gai and Adrian were Pan Jinlian (Fastnet Rock) and Red Zephyr (Snitzel).
