Invincible Spirit Breeding Right to be Auctioned

A breeding right to leading international sire Invincible Spirit, the sire of leading Australian sire I Am invincible, will be offered at auction by Arqana.

A top class sprinter who notably won the Haydock Sprint Cup Gr.1, Invincible Spirit quickly shaped at the Irish National Stud's flagship sire. He is a son of Green Desert out of the Prix de Diane heroine Rafha, who also produced the great sire of juveniles Kodiac.

A remarkable influence at stud


Following in the footsteps of his own sire, Invincible Spirit has asserted as an outstanding source of speed. He is the sire of no less than 15 Group 1 winners to date, including 3 in 2016, and 175 Stakes winners, a figure that already equals Green Desert's lifetime total.

Invincible Spirit is also one of the leading active sire of sires in the world, represented by 15 sons at stud.

His progeny are extremely sought after at the yearling sales, as evidenced by his 2016 clearance rate of 86% from 43 colts and fillies on offer. Their average selling price exceeded €250,000 with 16 of them commanding €400,000 or more.

His dearest yearlings last year were acquired by the likes of Shadwell, John Ferguson, Charles Gordon-Watson on behalf of Al Shaqab, M.V. Magnier in partnership with Mayfair Speculators and Peter & Ross Doyle, David Redvers, Blandford Bloodstock, etc,

Breeding Right conditions

The Breeding Right entitles the holder to cover one mare per calendar year to Invincible Spirit for the duration of his working life.

The Breeding Right is available from the 2017 season onwards.

There is no "carry forward" or "free return" for the following season, should the mare not produce a foal.

The Breeding Right holder is not entitled to a "dividend" should he/she choose not to use the breeding right in a particular season.

Should the Breeding Right holder decide to gift or sell the Breeding Right nomination to a third party in a particular year, the Breeding Right holder is understood to have informed the recipient / purchaser of the "No Free Return" policy, should that mare not produce a foal.

Neither the Irish National Stud or the Invincible Spirit Syndicate shall be responsible for the sale or transfer of the Breeding Right between parties.
