A
full sister to a Group I winner, this promising Savabeel filly won with a leg
in the air at Bendigo on Tuesday.
The Mick Price trained Nina's Ballerina was having her first run back from a
spell in the 1100 metre maiden following a second and a fourth in two starts
last year in May and June.
With a good spell under her belt, the full sister to Group I ATC Champagne
Stakes winner Pasadena Girl looks a much stronger filly this time around.
She raced up on the pace for Ben Melham and skipped away to win by three and a
half lengths in a sparkling return.
Retained to race by the Bax family of Blandford Lodge in New Zealand and
partners, Nina's Ballerina is the second winner for Redoute's Choice mare Nina
from Pasadena.
Pasadena Girl went to stud last spring for the first time and was covered by
Golden Slipper winner Vancouver.
