Second
in the Group III MRC Chairman's Stakes to subsequent Blue Diamond winner
Catchy, promising Nicconi filly Time Awaits tasted stakes success of her own at
Morphettville on Saturday when taking out the Listed SAJC Cinderella Stakes.
Prepared by Tony McEvoy, Time Awaits finished too well for Snitzel filly Spoils
to win the 1050 metre sprint by half a neck with I Am Invincible filly
Pageantry in third place.
Entered for several feature races at The Championships in Sydney next month,
Time Awaits has now won two races and over $125,000 in prizemoney from just
four starts.
Bred by Pipeliner Bloodstock and retained to race in partnership, Time Awaits
is the first foal of placed Danzero mare Bon Ton, a daughter of Group II WATC
Oaks winner Mystic Chantry.
Time Awaits is the tenth stakes-winner for Widden Stud's popular quiet achiever
Nicconi, who covered his biggest ever book of mares in 2016.
226 mares visited Nicconi last spring at a fee of $11,000.
