Tenth Stakes-Winner for Nicconi

Second in the Group III MRC Chairman's Stakes to subsequent Blue Diamond winner Catchy, promising Nicconi filly Time Awaits tasted stakes success of her own at Morphettville on Saturday when taking out the Listed SAJC Cinderella Stakes.

NicconiPrepared by Tony McEvoy, Time Awaits finished too well for Snitzel filly Spoils to win the 1050 metre sprint by half a neck with I Am Invincible filly Pageantry in third place.

Entered for several feature races at The Championships in Sydney next month, Time Awaits has now won two races and over $125,000 in prizemoney from just four starts.

Bred by Pipeliner Bloodstock and retained to race in partnership, Time Awaits is the first foal of placed Danzero mare Bon Ton, a daughter of Group II WATC Oaks winner Mystic Chantry.

Time Awaits is the tenth stakes-winner for Widden Stud's popular quiet achiever Nicconi, who covered his biggest ever book of mares in 2016.

226 mares visited Nicconi last spring at a fee of $11,000.
