Another stakes win for More Than Ready filly in South Africa

More Than Ready filly Ektifaa made it four wins on the trot when she resumed with an impressive win in the Group III Tony Ruffel Stakes in South Africa on Saturday.

Having not raced since winning the Group II Choice Carriers Championship back in October, Ektifaa was the only filly against six colts at Turffontein and after an early move by rider Callan Murphy she ran out a convincing winner.

Trained by Mike De Kock, she was a $600,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Shadwell from the Segenhoe Stud draft.

Bred by Fairway Thoroughbreds, she is the first foal of minor winning Redoute's Choice mare Stellar Vinia, a sibling to Group I winner Calveen, Group II winners Kosi Bay and Fireworks as well as stakes-winner Striker.

Segenhoe are selling the full brother to Ektifaa at the Inglis Easter Sale as Lot 372.
