rain's Whiskey Baron capped his meteoric rise to the top with a win in the Group
One Sun Met Celebrated With Mumm in South Africa on Saturday.
Settling further back than expected, the three year-old produced a powerful
finish to beat last year's South African Horse Of The Year Legal Eagle but one
and a half lengths.
It was the fifth win in a row for Whiskey Baron, who has been transformed since
being gelded back in July and was coming off his first stakes win prior in the
Group 2 Peninsula Handicap at Kenilworth.
