The leading sire in the country, I
Am Invincible added another impressive two year-old winner to his tally with a
debut victory at Seymour on Monday for a filly carrying the colours of premier UK syndicators Highclere Racing.
Trained by Lee and Anthony Freedman, Pageantry was restrained to sit behind the
leaders by Daniel Moor and when switched into the clear on straightening
unwound a powerful finish to race clear and win the 1100 metre fillies maiden
by a length and a quarter.
Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Pageantry was a $320,000 Inglis Easter
purchase for BBA Ireland and runs for a syndicate that includes Highclere
Thoroughbred Racing Australia in whose colours she runs.
Pageantry is the first winner for stakes-placed Charge Forward mare Andromache,
a daughter of dual Group I winner Mythical Play.
Yarraman Park sold the current yearling from Andromache, a filly by
Hinchinbrook, at Magic Millions for $230,000.
Andromache has a colt by I Am Invincible to follow and is now in foal to
Hinchinbrook.
