Snitzel
is well on his way to another record breaking season of two year-old winners
posting his 15th juvenile winner since August 1 at Doomben on Wednesday
with a breathtaking victory for hot favourite Snitzkraft.
Second to Ours to Keep in the Listed BRC Phelan Ready Stakes on debut last
month, the Kelso Wood trained colt blotted his copybook at his second start when
blundering at the start and experiencing gear issues before finishing last as favourite
in the Group III BRC BJ McLachlan Stakes.
Dropped back in class to a 1200 metre maiden, Snitzkraft was a class above,
leading throughout and strolling home to win by more than eight lengths in a performance
that will see him winning many more races.
Retained to race by his breeder after passing in at the Magic Millions shy of
his $300,000 reserve, Snitzkraft is the first winner for former handy metro
winning O'Reilly mare Power O'Raylee.
Power O'Raylee had a Dundeel colt offered at Magic Millions last week by
Riversdale as agent that was also passed in shy of his $200,000 reserve. Click here to see him.
