Raheen
Stud's young sire Golden Archer posted his first winner at Eagle Farm on
Wednesday with an impressive debut victory for Lady Lark.
Trained by Desleigh Forster, Lady Lark was far too good when cruising home to
win the 1200 metre maiden by two and a quarter lengths.
Passed in when offered at the Magic Millions March Yearling Sale last year by
Raheen Stud, Lady Lark is the first foal for metro winning Lonhro mare Vital,
who is married to Golden Archer having been to him in each of her four seasons
at stud.
A Group III winning son of Rock of Gibraltar (IRE), Golden Archer was a fast
precocious two year-old in the Peter Moody stable and it's no surprise to see
him with a smart juvenile out running.
From seven runners, he has had three place-getters and now Lady Lark to break
the ice.
Golden Archer stands at a fee of $6,600 and has four entries for the Book Two
session of the 2017 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
