China
based Yu Long Investments have been prominent buyers of Australian bloodstock in
recent years and featured with a promising debut winner at Canterbury on Friday
night co-owned by Arthur and Charlotte Inglis.
Two year-old I Am Invincible filly Yulong Xingsheng was well prepared for her
debut with two recent trials and turned in a very professional effort to take
the 1100 metre fillies maiden by half a neck.
She held the fence for Jay Ford albeit settling behind the leaders and surged
through a split after turning for home to score a determined victory.
As a $55,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Yu Long from the Wattle Grove Stud
draft, Yulong Xingsheng will be eligible for the $250,000 Inglis Classic on
February 11.
She was a successful pinhook for Wattle Grove having been snapped up at the
Magic Millions Weanling Sale for just $37,500 from the draft of Mane Lodge.
Yulong Xingsheng is the first winner for Keltrice mare Carlie Rose, a grand-daughter
of Irish stakes-winner Carlingford Rose.
She is the sixth two year-old winner this season for Yarraman Park’s I Am
Invincible, who has a stunning draft for the Magic Millions next week.
