Turangga
Farm can lay claim to having sold one of the all-time greats into Hong Kong in
Champion Miler Able Friend and while promising four year-old My Darling may
never quite reach those heights, he is a progressive horse for the John Size
stable.
A $26,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Turangga Farm draft for John Thompson,
Mossman gelding My Darling was sold into Hong Kong after winning his only trial
at Randwick in December 2014.
He has since won four of seven starts and looked good on Tuesday when surging
clear to win over 1400 metres in the Class Two event by three-quarters of a
length as favourite.
Bred and sold by Turangga Farm, My Darling is the first winner for unraced Syrian
Bride, a full sister to Group I VRC Victoria Derby winner Kibbutz.
Syrian Bride has no yearling for the sales in 2017, but there are no shortage
of other lovely youngsters headed to the sales for Turangga.
