The
Devitt, Gordon and Hayes families have enjoyed much success with former star
sprinter Nicconi and his offspring with this impressive debut winner at
Mornington set to add to their enjoyment.
Three year-old gelding Strictly Legit made it look all too easy when bolting
clear to win the 1000 metre maiden by nearly four lengths for the Hayes / Dabernig training partnership.
Bred and retained to race by the Devitt, Gordon and Hayes families, Strictly
Legit is a half-brother to this season's stakes-winning juvenile Wait No More
and is the third winner from three foals to race from stakes-placed Divine
Choice.
Divine Choice has been a regular visitor to Widden Stud and has a yearling filly
and colt foal by Nicconi's stable mate Sebring.
Strictly Legit is the 60th winner of the season for Nicconi, who has
enjoyed a great year and has sired stakes-winners Faatinah, Caipirinha and Hear
the Chant this season.
Nicconi has eight entries for Magic Millions and three for Inglis Classic.
