Australian
bred two year-old Choisir colt Sir Frenchie was a debut winner at Kenilworth in
South Africa on Saturday.
Prepared by Justin Snaith, Sir Frenchie cruised home to win the 1000 metre
scamper by a length and three-quarters.
An $82,500 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Paul Lafferty from the Attunga
Stud draft, Sir Frenchie is the first winner for metro winning Viscount mare
Volando, a half-sister to Group II winner Vezalay.
Choisir also sired an Australian two year-old stakes-winner on Saturday with
Champ Elect taking out the Listed BRC Calaway Gal Stakes. She too was sold by Attunga Stud, although she
was offered at the Gold coast fetching $95,000.
