Beating
older horses at Ascot on Wednesday was progressive three year-old Stryker filly
Persian Princess, a $24,000 Inglis Select Weanling purchase from the Three
Bridges draft for John Chalmers Bloodstock.
Prepared by Alan Matthews, Persian Princess overcame early trouble to power
home and win the 1500 metre contest by a half head having finished fourth,
third and second at her three previous runs.
Yet another promising winner for Three Bridges foundation sire Stryker, Persian
Princess has now two of seven starts with more wins in store.
Bred by Three Bridges and Richard Pegum, Persian Princess is from Vaziri, a
three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Danasia, the dam of Group I winner
Zabrasive.
Three Bridges are gearing up for a busy sales season in 2017 featuring the first
progeny of their exciting young stallion Unencumbered.
