Scoring
a bold front running win at his first run back from a spell at Ascot on
Wednesday was four year-old Al Maher gelding Key to Fame, a $30,000 Inglis
Classic purchase for Aquanita Racing from the Turangga Farm draft.
Sent out favourite for the 1100 metre contest, the Simon Miller trained Key to
Fame led throughout and fought on tenaciously to win by a neck.
With three wins and six placings from 14 starts, he has now won over $123,000
in prizemoney.
Bred and sold by Turangga Farm, Key to Fame is the best of three winners and
the last foal of Keys, a half-sister to Group III winner Spurn from Group III
winner Espiare.
Turangga Farm will offer 13 youngsters at the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling
Sale.
