New promising winner for I Am Invincible

Breednet - Friday November 25
I Am Invincible added another winner to the list when an underdone Invincible Gem was too good when resuming at Canterbury on Thursday night with plenty more upside according to those involved.

I Am InvincibleTrained by Kris Lees, Invincible Gem was made use of from a wide gate by Brenton Avdulla and proved too strong in a tough head to head finish with debutante Artemis Rose (Lonhro x True Blonde).

"She ran in some pretty strong form races at Newcastle last preparation," explained winning trainer Kris Lees.

"She's still got a bit of improvement, she was probably out on her feet the last 100 metres and she's yet to clean up in the coat but I thought it was a good effort."

"She's a nice filly by a terrific stallion and I think she's got a nice future."

"I really like her," said Avdullla.

"I think she's got a nice future. Obviously Kris is taking her along slowly and the connections are going to reap the benefits because I think she's quite talented."

Should Invincible Gem go on and live up to the expectations of her connections she'll be quite the advert for her sire as this maiden victory saw her become the first metropolitan winner in her family for at least four generations.

I Am Invincible is currently sitting second on the General Sires table by winners and sixth by prizemoney.
