Will the Super Colts Be Fast Enuff?

Media Release - Wednesday October 26
This Saturday's running of the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes for the three-year-olds is set to be one of the most exciting races of the spring, where arguably the best group of colts we have seen in years will do battle on the big stage down the famous Flemington straight – the ultimate six furlong test of speed, toughness and athleticism.

Woodside Park Stud will obviously be cheering on WRITTEN TYCOON'S Champion two-year-old colt CAPITALIST, title holder of highest ever earning 2yo colt in the world.

Rich EnuffThe question is, are any of these potential super colts able to top the record down the Flemington 1200m of WRITTEN TYCOON'S very own RICH ENUFF who recorded, and still holds, the fastest time down the famous straight six this century for a three-year-old colt.

"RICH ENUFF won the Group Two Danehill stakes in a time of 1:08.13, which is the fastest time recorded by a three-year-old colt since digital timing was introduced" said Matt Tillett from Woodside Park Stud.

With the weather and track conditions expected to be perfect for Derby Day on Saturday, the times are expected to be fast.

"RICH ENUFF is covering a bigger and better quality book in his first season, than his own sire Written Tycoon has traditionally covered." added Matt Tillett.

"The other great thing about RICH ENUFF is that his fertility is also unbelievable, just like his old man".

RICH ENUFF is standing his first season at Glenlogan Park at $13,750 (Inc. GST) this spring and he will return to Woodside Park Stud to stand in Victoria in 2017.
