If Day One of the Magic Millions 2YOs in Training Sale saw a
pinhook to die for, Day Two took it to another level with the sale topper
returning a whopping $365,000 increase on his yearling price.
The top lot of the first day, a colt by Star Witness from Ellamotion had been
purchased as a yearling for $52,500 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling
Sale and seven months later returned to make $315,000, a $262,500 profit.
The Star Witness x High Aspirations colt which ultimately topped the sale had
been offered by Millbrook back in January in Book 2 of the Gold Coast Magic Millions
Sale, selling for $85,000.
Returning to the Gold Coast as a two-year-old as part of the Washpool Lodge
draft, he made $450,000 to the bid of local Gold Coast training Bryan Guy in a
dream result for his vendor.
