Vinery Stud’s exciting young sire Star Turn will have a runner in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Saturday in Miss Hipstar and he also posted his second winner at Geelong on Friday with a brave victory for Pegasi.
Second on debut at Geelong on Boxing Day, the Tony and Calvin McEvoy trained colt showed the benefit of that outing to cross from a wide gate and lead.
He was strong to the line and held off all challengers to win the 1147m maiden by half a length.
