With
last season's first season sires title a blanket finish, the second season
titles are anybody's and Toorak Toff put another notch in his belt when Dandy
Toff made a winning debut at Grafton.
Starting something of an outsider in the field at $21, he certainly didn't race
like one, sitting up on the pace and booting clear half way down the straight
to hold off the fast finishers comfortably.
Dandy Toff is out of Eagle's Song, a US bred three time stakes placed mare by
Proud Citizen.
He is the third foal and second winner for the mare who has a two-year-old by
Nicconi and yearling by Bernardini to follow.
She was served by Dawn Approach last season.
It is the third winner for the new season for dual Group One winner Toorak Toff
who stands at Rosemont Stud on a fee of $9,900.
