Louise is a University of Queensland Graduate and has worked exclusively with horses since graduating. She has been lucky enough to work with Max Wilson and Robyn Woodward at Equivet Australia on the Darling Downs for a number of years. This is where her passion for reproduction was ignited. This passion has flowed over into her personal life, leading to both of her children?s births being outside of the Equine breeding season.
Louise has had the opportunity to work on numerous large and boutique studs both in Australia and the United Kingdom. The Stud work included Mare reproduction, Stallion fertility issues, foal and general medicine.
Louise was born just outside Roma on a small property of 6000ha and has been riding horses since she was 4 years old, although she doesn?t get much time these days. After a short stint on the Gold Coast, Louise moved to the Lockyer Valley and set up Exclusively Equine Veterinary Services in 2010.
Exclusively Equine Veterinary Services has recently set up a Breeding Centre at Hatton Vale which will be fully functional for the 2012/2013 breeding season. The Breeding Centre will cater for stallion collections, foalings, embryo transfer, and artificial insemination with both fresh, chilled and frozen semen.
In Louise''''s spare time- Oh wait, she doesn''''t have any!!- but if she did it is spent outdoors with her two children Hannah and Zachary, and Husband Jason.
